It has been a fantastic week for Wightlink as they have won the Best Service Award by Consumers Direct.
Managing Director, Jim Flounder, 64, is said to be ‘over the moon’ with the accolade and hopes the company can continue with such high levels of service to all its passengers.
Wightlink offers a wide range of services including four or five crossings a week, two bargain busting vending machines, comfy plastic seats, a sufficiently thin wipe able table, useable toilets, a friendly crew who are more than happy to aggressively park you, and a large selection of microwavable food on board. The company has also recently had a refit of all its décor to give its customers a more pleasant and refined trip.
Wightlink is set to go ahead with its ‘Winter Timetable’ and asks all its passengers to ‘check ahead before starting their journeys’ to ensure they are able to get on or off the Island at all especially when travelling after 5.00pm.
