Islanders Warned Against Dodgy Mainland Car Deals
Council spokesperson Miss Dee Poynt said, “These cars are often a fraction of the price of those available from Island dealers, and frequently come with full service histories that have been carried out by highly qualified, professional mechanics. So in that respect, they seem like a good buy compared to Island cars.”
Miss Dee Poynt cautioned; “These vehicles will not come with an HW or DL registration mark, and that will mean your neighbours, friends and family will begin to talk about you behind your back, and Islanders in general would confuse them with outsiders.”
She urged motorists to instead continue buying overpriced, badly driven & poorly maintained Island cars that come with a warranty worth about as much as a Jimmy Savile autograph.
