Islanders Take Revenge On Red Funnel

Fed up with forever being delayed by Red Funnel, it seems some enterprising Islanders have found a unique way of getting their own back on the ferry company.

With tight timetables leaving only minimal minutes for the ferries to load and unload, the ‘anarchists’ as a Red Funnel spokesperson referred to them, have found a way to double unloading times.

The scheme is as genius as it is simple, and has left Red Funnel executives and Island Police scratching their heads about what to do, as those doing it aren’t actually breaking any laws.

We caught up with Mr Van Detta, an Island resident taking part in the campaign of disruption and asked him just how they do it.  He told us; “Easy! Just keep pressing the pedestrian crossing button at Waitrose, backs them up for ages.”
