Floating Bridge Delays Cause Havoc

We’ve received reports this evening of a serious delay to the much maligned Cowes Floating Bridge service.

It’s understood the floating bridge that should have travelled from East to West Cowes at 17.03 this afternoon was held up as one of the attendants went to the supermarket for some biscuits.

The ageing metal vessel, which serves a critical humanitarian trade route between the two warring Cowes towns, was underway again at around 17.20.
